Implementation, Evaluation, control
“The company first develops companywide strategic plans and then translates them into marketing and other plans for each division, product, and brand. Through implementation, the company turns the plans into actions. Control consists of measuring and evaluating the results of marketing activities and taking corrective action where needed.” Ch. 2 pg 31
“Marketing implementation is the process that turns marketing plans into marketing actions in order to accomplish strategic marketing objectives.” Ch.2 pg. 33
“Marketing control involves four steps. Management first sets specific marketing goals. It then measures its performance in the marketplace and evaluates the causes of any differences between expected and actual performance. Finally, management takes corrective action to close the gaps between its goals and its performance. This may require changing the action programs or even changing the goals.”- Ch.2 pg. 35
I hope to implement my marketing strategies which were for mentioned by listening to my customers and paying attention to other companies in the same business as me. I will analyze and research their business operations and gather the results to help further my establishment and keep my business growing and to also stay one step ahead. I will use polls and short surveys via my social networking sites to help gather information, comments, and concerns from my customers to help better my services. I will use my customer’s evaluation as a means to keep up with my customer’s wants and needs. I intend to use marketing control properly by trying out new things and eliminating the things that’s don’t work and may prove to be more harmful then helpful to my business. I will set specific goals for my business to meet and if I find that my current strategy or plans are not working and not helping me to reach my goals then I will adjust my plans according so that I can meet my goals and also continue to improve my customer satisfaction as well as gain more profit.

Marketing Mix; Price
“Competition-based pricing involves setting prices based on competitors’ strategies, costs, prices, and market offerings. Consumers will base their judgments of a product’s value on the prices that competitors charge for similar products.”-ch 9 pg. 16
“Promotional pricing, companies will temporarily price their products below list price and sometimes even below cost to create buying excitement and urgency. Promotional pricing takes several forms. A seller may simply offer discounts from normal prices to increase sales and reduce inventories.”- ch 9
“Dynamic pricing—adjusting prices continually to meet the characteristics and needs of individual customers and situations.” Ch 9 pg 45
Since my aim for my business is to serve lunch at a cheaper price then most fast food establishments everything on my menu will not succeed over six dollars. My beverages will run from one to three dollars water being a dollar, soft drinks will be two dollars, and energy drinks will run for three dollars. My desserts will run for two dollars and fifty cents. My sliders will run for three for six dollars and will come with tater tots. Tater tots alone will cost two fifty and lastly I will sell my regular bagel dogs for three dollars and a deluxe bagel dog will be five dollars which will also come with fries.
Marketing Mix; Promotion
“Sales promotion tools are used by most organizations, including manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and not-for-profit institutions.” – ch 13 pg37
“Sales promotion objectives vary widely. Sellers may use consumer promotions to urge short-term customer buying or to enhance customer brand involvement.” –ch 13
“The length of the promotion is also important. If the sales promotion period is too short, many prospects (who may not be buying during that time) will miss it. If the promotion runs too long, the deal will lose some of its “act now” force.” –ch 13 pg 44
I plan to promote my company by means of various social networks. Social networks nowadays are the easiest way to spread news and spread it fast. I will set up a twitter account for my business so that I can tweet daily specials or tweet to my followers to let them know where I am located that each day. I will also create a facebook fan page so that I can post pictures of my customers, promotions, as well as ask poll questions to get a quicker feedback from my customers. Another way I hope to promote my cart is by having daily contests like “spot that truck” which will allow the first customer that shouts “found you!” get a free dessert or something like that sort. Also since my business is based on video games I will also host the high score contest where the customer who gets a high score on one of the arcade games can get free lunches.

Marketing mix; Distrubution
The distribution of my product will be simple. I will purchase my ingredients from various warehouses and stores. All ingredients used will be prepared fresh daily before opening hours and everything with the exception of the desserts will be made by order. Since I will only be managing on food truck distribution should not be too costly. I plan to work out deals with different merchants for purchasing ingredients and supplies in bulk.
Marketing mix; Product
“which customers the company will serve and how it will create value for these customers.” –Chp 1 pg 17
“To deliver on its value proposition, the firm must first create a need-satisfying market offering (product).”
My product is the food that I will be serving in my business. I have made a unique menu which each product is named from famous eighties video game characters. The main feature of my menu will be my sliders uniquely named after the four Pac-man ghosts inky, blinky, pinky, and Clyde four different sliders to choose from. I will also have space taters which are tater tots shaped like space invaders, potions will be my drink menu, and Donkey Kong bread will be my freshly made banana bread. Everything on my menu will be made organically and prepared in the healthiest way possible. I will also offer energy drinks which will be called extra life a play on a video game term which is when a game character earns an extra life either from gaining enough points or other means.
Target Market Strategy
“A marketing strategy consists of specific strategies for target markets, positioning, the marketing mix, and marketing expenditure levels.” – chp 2 pg. 33
“A brilliant marketing strategy counts for little if the company fails to implement it properly.”
My target marketing strategy is to attract the generation of gamers and the older generation that grew up with the featured arcade games. The amount of gamers grow with each passing day it is no longer reserved for the nerds or social outcasts as it once was, nowadays there is a game specifically created to attract anyone with any interest. I would also like to think that since children tend to drive what the the parts buy for lunch or dinner more than anything. So my truck will be designed to attract children as well as adults. I also hope to pique the interest of customers outside this ever growing group of gamers by attracting them with my unique and delicious food.
